During your stay we create a 100% personalized schedule to suit your fancy. Here is a typical schedule…

Description:

It all starts with a meeting with our experienced staff at a cafe to develop your personalized schedule. Extra cafe meetings are scheduled as needed to discuss the logistics of moving to Tepoztlán and/or to Mexico.

Don, the manager of MLE, leads a hiking group every Tuesday, on trails around Tepoztlán. He is the one with the straw hat in the photo at Cerro de la Luz (Hill of Light) above. Don has over twenty years exploring the mountains and loves to guide mixed groups of expats and Mexicans.

Musicians from all over the world perform at the many excellent clubs in town. Jim will accompany you to one of his favorites to hear a great performance and to wine and dine at an exquisite venue, like Rincon, the one shown above.

Of course you do not want to miss the Friday Farmers’ Markets (Organic). Don happily guides you to two of them that are close together. One features local permaculture-grown produce, and the other has delicious home-made food and local crafted items. Sitting at the picnic tables you will meet and have conversations with people from all over the world.

On Wednesdays and Sundays are the expanded outdoor local markets, as pictured above. Below is Tepoztlán’s new Mercado, with a view facing the mountains in the back. It houses both prepared food and food to buy to take home and cook. Often musicians entertain outside.

…breathtaking views at the great-for-shopping new market!

There are so many different restaurants to choose from. We’d like to take you to one of our favorites, La Sombra del Sabino (The Shade of the Sabino Tree). As you see in the photo, the tables are outdoors. The menu is eclectic, with medium-priced meals and desserts to die for. It has a bilingual bookstore, sells many locally made arts and crafts, and hosts events of all sorts. Jim entertains with his jazz trio at Sunday brunches.
All in all, you are in for the experience of your life with our skilled personnel guiding you so that you need not worry about the lack of speaking Spanish and not knowing the best places to go. We’ve got you covered!
In addition, you will have ample opportunities to pick our brains about what it is like living as an expat in Tepoztlán. If we don’t have an answer about a specific question, we’ll refer you.
